The 2020 Bowman Heritage Baseball variations cover 20 of the set’s top prospects. They take a standard approach of alternate photos, although there’s no connecting theme between them. Different colored jerseys, switching from batting to fielding and altered poses are what collectors will find. Basically, don’t expect the short prints to jump out immediately.
Covering only the regular Bowman Heritage cards and not the Chrome parallels, variations land 1:12 packs. This works out to approximately two per hobby box of the online-exclusive release.

When it comes to telling a base Prospects card from a variation, there are two code endings that you need:
- Prospects Base – 629
- Variation – 635
Other types of cards have other code endings, but they’re not required for spotting these short prints.
