2020 Leaf Pete Rose: Charlie Hustle Edition Checklist and Details
In case you’ve been dragging your feet on picking up an autograph (or several) from baseball’s all-time hit king, there’s 2020 Leaf Pete Rose: Charlie Hustle Edition.
It’s a small box set that won’t cost much and each comes with a Rose signature.
When talking small, it really is. The base set consists of ten cards charting Rose’s career.
The autograph is the added item. These use a similar design as the base set. There’s a slight adjustment to the layout to make room for the signature, which comes on a sticker.
This isn’t the first Leaf set highlighting Rose and his autograph. There’s also 2012’s Pete Rose: The Living Legend. Done with a more traditional pack-based blaster configuration, there’s a Rose signature in each of these as well. Before that was 2011 Leaf Pete Rose Legacy, another set with an autograph per box, albeit with a more premium take.
Rose has been an active signer for a long time. You can look at the fact that his signature may not carry much value today a couple of ways. Here, the intent is to make it accessible.

I picked one of these up in 2012. My auto was of the one where he’s reading the sports page of a newspaper. I used to be a sports editor so this was a cool pull for me. I also pulled the entire base set out of this box so it was pretty good value.
