For years, there has never been a shortage of options when it comes to pack and box types of Topps’ flagship baseball lines. You’ve got hobby, hobby jumbo, retail, fat packs, hanger boxes, Walmart blasters, Target blasters, blister packs and more. Starting with 2020 Topps Series 1 Baseball, you can add tins to the list.

2020 Topps Series 1 Baseball Tins Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Each retail tin has 75 different cards. Contents include five retail-only Turkey Red 2020, one Turkey Red 2020 Chrome, one 1985 Topps Baseball insert and one tin-exclusive Decades’ Best Chrome card.

Decades’ Best Chrome cards could prove to be tough, especially over time. The set has 100 cards, matching the checklist of their non-Chrome counterparts. But the distribution that’s retail- and packaging-exclusive combined with the fact there’s just one per tin — it’s unlikely there’ll be much in bulk for individual cards or sets.

Besides the cards inside, the tins themselves may entice some collectors. There are six different available, each with a different top-tier player.

If you don’t see any locally, 2020 Topps Series 1 Baseball tins can be found on eBay as well.

I may just have to get a Trout tin because of Trout, regardless of the cards inside, LOL

I’ll take one of each please, what a great idea. I’ve got the Griffey Jr. and Ripken tins, and look forward to these Topps specials.

You should be shameful Topps for giving these to eBay resellers instead of people like me who actually want to open it shame on u Topps

@Leor – If people are selling tins on eBay, it’s because they bought them at Walmart themselves.

What a LAME CHECKLIST! You have Felix Hernandez in your top 100, and NO CLAYTON KERSHAW???
And what’s with all of the team cards?

    • Ryan Cracknell 12 March, 2020 at 11:44

@Tommy — The Decades’ Best isn’t a top 100. It’s a series of thematic Top 10 lists. Some of those lists involve things like “Best Teams” hence why there are teams.

I have all six still factory sealed. Would you open them or just leave them as is? What do you think about this?
