2020 Topps of the Class Baseball Aims to Reward Hard-Working Kids
2020 Topps of the Class Baseball is a promo set intended to bring kids into hobby shops. In its second year since returning, the premise is pretty simple: children take their report cards to a participating shop and get a pack of cards. Individual shops may put a slightly different spin, but the big thing is providing a small reward for working hard in school.
Each pack has five cards, all from an exclusive set not available anywhere else. The 2020 Topps of the Class Baseball base set has 100 cards, mixing stars, rookies and veterans.
Unlike last year’s promo set that used a slightly altered Topps Big League design, this time around it’s a standalone look.
Topps of the Class Greats expands the checklist with more cards of all-time greats. Done with foil, each of these is numbered to 299. While retired Hall of Famers are the main focus, Mike Trout also makes the cut here.
Like any hobby shop promotion, you may want to check first to see if they’re participating.
