2017 Topps Chrome Update Baseball is a Target-exclusive, just as it has been for the past several years. Once again available in special mega box blasters, there is a big change to the configuration.

2017 Topps Chrome Update Baseball Mega Box

In prior years, Topps Chrome Update packs have been packaged alongside regular Topps Update Series Baseball packs. For 2017 Topps Chrome Update Baseball, all packs are chromium. They’re not the de facto bonus.

2017 Topps Chrome Mega Boxes come with a shelf price of $19.99 for seven packs.

The base set has a total of 100 cards. In typical “Update” fashion, it’s a mix of rookies, All-Stars and star players debuting with new teams in 2017.

2017 Topps Chrome Update Baseball cards come with a few levels of Refractors, although not nearly as much as in the main 2017 Topps Chrome Baseball set. Refractors are 1:22 packs. Others include X-Fractors, Gold Refractors, Red Refractors, Printing Plates and Superfractors.

Autographs are not guaranteed in 2017 Topps Chrome Update Baseball boxes. Base Autographs are 1:56 packs, or every eighth mega box. Refractor parallels match the levels found in the base set. It’s worth noting that Base Autographs include more than just rookies. Veterans are also included.

All-Rookie Cup are the only other inserts in the Target-exclusive product. Select cards have tough autographed versions.
