1985 Drake’s Baseball is the fifth release for the ’80s box set staple. While it might not carry big values today, it’s a quick and easy way to look back at some top players and young standouts who were good at the time but have since faded from much of the public’s collective memory.

Framed around “Big Hitters and “Super Pitchers,” the checklist has 44 total cards. Top names include Hall of Famers George Brett, Cal Ripken Jr., Reggie Jackson, Eddie Murray and Tom Seaver (in a White Sox jersey). Alvin Davis and Mark Langston are among those who showed glimpses of greatness and are ideal nostalgia for those who grew up watching 1980s baseball.

Fronts pack in a lot of info, complimenting other Drake’s sets. Not only do you get the basic player info, but it highlights the set’s run as well as card number. Backs have a similar layout as 1985 Topps Baseball. The card maker is only mentioned in the copyright info, but they are the ones who produced the set.

Like other sets in the line, 1985 Drake’s Baseball cards are affordable still today both as singles and in set form. They’re also fairly easy to find.
