2023 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Baseball Variations Guide
The 2023 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Baseball Variations lineup is split evenly between rookies and prospects. The online-exclusive release has 20 in all with 10 falling in each section of the checklist.
The concept follows with most other variations from Topps with the SSP cards using different images than their standard counterparts.
Odds of finding on of the variations is 1:43 packs of 2023 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Baseball. That may not sound too tough but there are just eight packs per hobby box and they’re not the cheapest around.
Additional parallels are also available:
- Aqua Sapphire – /99 (1:85 packs)
- Orange Sapphire – /75 (1:113 packs)
- Yellow Sapphire – /50 (1:169 packs)
- Purple Sapphire – /25 (1:336 packs)
- Red Sapphire – /5 (1:1,659 packs)
- Superfractors – 1/1 (1:8,044 packs)
While official numbers haven’t been released, the odds suggest that there are around 200 copies of each regular variation.
Do the Codes on the Back Make a Difference?
2023 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Baseball cards all have the familiar CMP codes that are in the fine print on the back. Usually, this code changes between base cards, variations and other inserts.
However, this is one instance where the code won’t help you identify variations. Base rookies, Prospects and SSPs all have the same 153 code ending.
That means it’s the images that must be paid attention to in order to spot which version the card is.
