2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball is here. That means thatbaseball is right around the corner!

Series 1 features a 350-card base checklist. Base cards feature white borders with team color matched accents (which I love). This being Topps flagship, there are also a ton of parallels and inserts to track down. One notable omission from this product is the Black parallel many have come to love. Topps has since admitted that this was a mistake to remove and they will be back for Series 2.

There are 61 rookie cards included in the Series 1 checklist. Some notable inclusions are Coby Mayo, Jhonkensy “Big Christmas” Noel, Dylan Crews, James Wood and Jacob Wilson.

Each box should contain one autograph or relic card.

Pack 7:

The 1990 Topps design really brings back some memories.

Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, Teoscar Hernandez, Corey Seager & Corbin Carroll Training Grounds (1:17 packs)

Cole Ragans, Freddie Freeman & Boston Red Sox

Ragans really came into his own last season, posting a 3.14 ERA and striking out 223 batters in 186 1/3 innings. He finished fourth in the Cy Young voting.

Pack 18:

Miami Marlins, Merrill/Machado, AL RBI Leaders, Ryan Mountcastle, Carlos Correas, Mark Vientos, Jordan Westburg & Bryce Harper 2024 Greatest Hits (1:15 packs)

Pack 19:

NL RBI Leaders, NL Batting Average Leaders, Cedric Mullins & Kyle Schwarber 1990 Topps Relic (1:76 packs)

This relic looks as though it is from the Phillies light blue throwback jerseys. That makes it a little more fun, in my opinion.

Pack 20:

Elly De La Cruz, Atlanta Braves, Marcell Ozuna, Zack Wheeler, Royce Lewis & Hank Aaron 1990 Topps (1:5 packs)

Lastly, the De La Cruz card back.

Oh, that’s right, the silver pack. I always save these to open last.

Elly De La Cruz, Jake Bloss RC, Spencer Schwellenbach RC & Dale Murphy

Not bad! Those Golden Mirror Image Variation cards are tough pulls, especially with every player on the checklist having one.

It is always fun to fire up the baseball season early and rip some packs when Series 1 releases. It is also not very often that I am able to feature a product released just one week ago.

Actually really like the 1990s inserts more than 2025 design (which is all right and not that it is stale gum)
