Cheap Wax Wednesday Box Breaks: 2023 Topps 206 Low Series Baseball
2023 Topps 206 Baseball came just two releases, Low Series and High Series. That was a change from previous years, when Topps released many different waves. For instance, 2022 featured five different waves, all with different checklists. Low Series features a 150-card base checklist. There are some decent rookie names included, such as Corbin Carroll, Triston Casas, Michael Harris II, Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman, and Masataka Yoshida.
As is always the case, there are many variations to find, most of them using the traditional varied card backs. Wood Stock parallels and Photo Variations are on the checklist as well. Of course, there are autographs too. Odds say you should pull an autograph, all of which are on-card, once every three boxes. Craig Biggio, Vladimir Guerrero,Jr., Henderson, Josh Jung, David Ortiz, and Yoshida are among the signature highlights.

I love the inclusion of retired and legendary players. This is one of the reasons I continue to rip the product each year.

Xander Bogaerts, Manny Machado, Spencer Steer RC, Lou Piniella, Juan Gonzalez, Jackie Robinson, Randy Arozarena, Willson Contreras, Evan Longoria Piedmont (one per pack) & Randy Johnson 95 Morton Brick Back (limited to 25 copies)
A Hall of Famer in a rare back variation? I love it!

I do wish these cards featured serial numbering. Though there are announced print runs, it would be easier if it was actually printed on the cards.
This used to be an annual online-exclusive product. However, I have not seen anything about the product being released again in 2024. I, for one, will miss it if it doesn’t return.

Since the backs are the variations, this would have been a good one to show some card backs on. Love Cheap Wax Wednesdays.
