2025 Select Baseball returns with all the collector favorites – a tiered base set, a stunning array of parallels, plenty of inserts, and guaranteed hits.
Hobby boxes again have 12 packs, and collectors can expect to find three hits (autographs or memorabilia cards), 12 parallels, and 9 total inserts or insert parallels.
2025 Panini Select Baseball Checklist Overview
The base set will likely run 300 cards and will primarily focus on retired players and prospects due to licensing constraints. That said, a handful of current players always find their way onto the checklist.
Traditionally, Select sets are broken into tiers that get increasingly rarer. For baseball, those tiers are: Concourse, Premier Level, and Diamond Level.
Dozens of parallels will cover the entire base set.
Collectors can find autographs in at least two concepts.
First is Diamond Action Signatures, which combines two photos and a player’s signature into one comprehensive design.
Because Panini does not have a full MLB license, the company puts a lot of focus on retired players – hence the return of Legendary Signatures.
With nine inserts per box, collectors will find plenty of sets when ripping open packs. Some of the basic inserts include:

- Select Certified
- Select Numbers
- Turbo Charged
Color Wheel inserts are a tough SSP chase that also returns.
