Fan Cave Card Shop in Indianapolis has Something for Everyone

One of the joys of collecting trading cards is walking into a store with lots of options. At Fan Cave in Indianapolis, owned and operated by Parker and Jack Stevens, the shop is set for sports cards and TCG enthusiasts. Even better, the cards are organized to search by player, sport, or trading card game with high-profile loose cards to explore through without having to peer inside a display case.
The great state of Indiana offers a little bit of everything for sports fans. From Purdue, Indiana, and Notre Dame in the collegiate ranks to the Colts, Pacers, and Fever at the professional level.
Speaking with owner Parker Stevens, collectors in the area can get all their favorites at Fan Cave.
“Football is always really big for us,” Stevens said. “We’ve had a lot of success with (PG) Caitlin Clark’s stuff, and the WNBA has really taken off in the last year. Pokémon has been massive; we’ve seen movement on a lot of different things lately.”

As one would expect, cards of Colts’ players are a hot commodity in Indianapolis.
“Obviously (QB) Anthony Richardson; everybody is excited for him,” Stevens shared. “(WR) Michael Pittman Jr. would be my favorite. (RB) Jonathan Taylor sells like crazy. Pretty much anybody, if they are wearing a Colt’s jersey, it sells well.”
In season, the Pacers’ cards are hot sellers for Stevens, “The Pacers are huge right now. (PG) Tyrese Haliburton, (SG) Benedict Mathurin is taking a leap this year, people are excited about them. All of the Pacers’ players do well.
Outside sports influences are big sellers in Indianapolis.
“Ohio State is big around here, and the Reds,” Stevens stated. “(SS) Elly De La Cruz is really popular.”
Collectors in the trading card game universe are covered at Fan Cave, “We really focus on the Pokémon stuff here. We also saw success with the Bo Jackson Battle Arena that was just released last November.”
Wanting to be part of a break, head down to 4805 Madison Ave. on any given Saturday.
“We don’t do online breaks, but we do free breaks every Saturday here in store for our customers,” Stevens shared. “It is completely free. We pass out teams, everyone gets a random team; that is always really fun.”

Providing for their customers for six years, Fan Cave also caters to the younger collectors.
“Once a year we do a kids’ collectors weekend where the kids come in and get free packs and a binder,” Stevens stated. “It is a big hang out day with refreshments.
Stevens continued, “Every three months we do a Midnight Madness; we are open all night but that is more of an open trade night for our collectors. We have tables set up so they can set up, sit around and trade with each other.”
Looking for top sports card brands? You can find it at Fan Cave.
“We’ve been fortunate to be direct with Panini for almost two years now and we’ve been direct with Topps for about six months now,” Stevens said. “We’ve been fortunate to sell both products. Panini has been good for us and now the Topps stuff is doing really well for us.”
