2025-26 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey Details
2025-26 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey gives collectors on the journey of building the entire flagship set their next phase of the challenge – a new slate of 250 cards to acquire.
Hobby boxes include 144 cards, and collectors can expect to find six Young Guns rookie cards, 21 inserts, four UD Canvas cards, and a handful of parallels in every box.
2025-26 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey Checklist Overview
Series 2 brings collectors the next 250 cards in the flagship set, marking the second step of the annual trilogy that also includes Series 1 and a later Extended Series.

The set starts with 200 veterans, who are covered by seven parallels:
- Outburst Silver (1:15 packs)
- Clear Cut (1:48)
- Deluxe /250
- Exclusives /100
- Outburst Red /25
- High Gloss /10
- Outburst Gold /1
Collectors can expect to find one of the 50 Young Guns rookie cards in every other pack, combining to land six per box. These have the same parallels as the base set, though pack odds are naturally tougher for Outburst Silver and Clear Cut.
- Outburst Silver (1:60 packs)
- Clear Cut (1:144)
- Deluxe /250
- Exclusives /100
- Outburst Red /25
- High Gloss /10
- Outburst Gold /1

Inserts
The UD Canvas series continues in Series 2 with another 150 cards.
These include current stars (1:4 packs), Young Guns (1:24), retired legends (1:96), and Program of Excellence (1:96). Each tier has a Black and White parallel, which combine to land four times per case.

Other inserts continuing from Series 1 include:
- Encore (1:3 packs), the next 100 cards that feature Light FX printing technology
- Sizzle Reel (1:5), the next 35 cards that have a QR code on the flip side, which takes collectors to a video of the moment depicted on the card
- Dazzlers (1:12), the next 50 cards of the long-running insert
- OPC Glossy (1:8 retail packs), the next 25 cards that have a retro feel

Parallels for these inserts include:
- Encore (Blue, 1:36 packs; Red /199; and Gold /50)
- Sizzle Reel (Speckle, 1:35; Red /199, and Gold /50)
- Dazzlers (Pink, 1:144; and Gold, 1:2,880, and retail-exclusive Green, 1:4)

Slaps is a new horizontal insert printed on foilboard. These cards are easy to find (1:6 packs) and feature a colorful design and crisp action shots. They come in Speckle (1:48), Red (/199), and Gold (/25) parallels.

Other inserts include Glow-Up (1:5 packs), UD Portraits (1:5), Vibing (1:5), Let Them Cook (1:8), Boomtown (1:10), IYKYK (1:10), and Fluorescence Red (1:36). All these sets have multiple parallels.

Population Count inserts also return. Though not serial-numbered, the cards have seven print-run tiers, ranging from 1,000 to 1/1s.
The toughest inserts, however, are Incarnations. Upper Deck announced these cards are rarer than 1:10 cases.

I see the Jimmy Snuggerud card has a Sabres logo even though he’s on the Blues. I guess someone at Upper Deck was thinking of his father Dave.
