How to Spot 2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball Variations in Seconds
2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball variations are on the subtle side. The basic design is like the set’s regular Rookie Ticket Autographs. But there is one difference that’s easy to spot once you know to look for it. And it doesn’t require memorizing a bunch of different photos (although one could theoretically do that, too).
Once you see it, things become easy.
Spotting 2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball Variations
Here are the base and variation versions of the 2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball Marvin Bagley III.

Variation
The first thing you probably notice is the different photos. And while all 2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball variations have alternate images, that’s not the easiest way to tell the two apart.
Instead, look to the team logo on the front.
On the base versions, logos are black. For the variations, the logo has the regular colors.
While Panini hasn’t confirmed this, you can figure it out by browsing the parallels. Base versions and variations have similar themes but the serial numbers are different amounts. So when you jump down that rabbit hole, you can tell which images are the variations. From there, the logo pattern emerges.
2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball variations are limited to the Rookie Ticket Autographs. Veteran base cards do not have them.
Panini has yet to release any short print info for the regular cards or the 2018-19 Panini Contenders Basketball variations.

I don’t typically collect basketball but these look awesome. Can you tell me if they do the unnumbered ssp print runs like they do in the football contenders?
Sorry I must have missed it the first time I read this, I see where you mentioned it in the last paragraph
