2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey Details
2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey returns with a new configuration, moving to a one-pack-per-box premium format and a thicker card stock.
Boxes will have eight cards per box, including an autograph or autographed memorabilia card, an unsigned memorabilia card, one Ice Premieres rookie, and three inserts or parallels. All signatures in the product remain hard-signed.
The product has an expected release date of July 2026 but is subject to change.
2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey Checklist Overview
With the shift in configuration, the base set has become more compact with 100 veterans and Red (/249), Green (/99), Gold (/25), and Champagne Gold (1/1) parallels. Collectors can expect two regular base cards per box.
Select base cards also have Red Autographs (1:4 packs), Gold Autographs (/10), Jersey Parallels (1:2), and Patch Parallels (/35).
Following the vets are 100 numbered Ice Premieres rookie cards, which will continue to have several tiers:
- Cards # 101-139 – Level 4 (/999)
- Cards # 140-169 – Level 3 (/499)
- Cards # 180-190 – Level 2 (/249)
- Cards # 191-200 – Level 1 (/99)
Base parallels for rookies are Gold (/25) and Gold Champagne (1/1), while select players from Levels 1 and 2 have Autograph parallels (/299 and /199, respectively). There are also Gold Autographs (/25).
Collectors will find Jersey versions of Ice Premieres an average of every third pack, while Auto Jersey (/35), Patch (/25), and Auto Patches (/10) are tougher finds.

Upper Deck noted that Hand Stamped cards are hard-signed in gold ink and have a Red parallel version (/10). For Fire & Ice, the Ice versions are signed in blue, while the Fire versions are inked in red.
Cool Threads, which have Patch, Auto Jersey, and Auto Patch parallels, return to Upper Deck Ice for the first time in 20 years, and Signature Swatches, which have Jersey, Patch, and Spectrum Patch versions, are back after a one-year hiatus.
Inserts
Collectors can expect to find one card from one of these four insert sets in every box:
- Breaking The Ice (1:4 packs)
- Showmen (1:4)
- Tickle The Twine (1:4)
- Cryogenic (1:5)
Another insert in each box will come from these concepts:
- Black Ice Rookies (1:3 packs)
- Black Ice Stars (1:6)
- Sub Zero Rookies (/499)
- Sub Zero Stars (/399)
The last insert in hobby boxes will hail from these sets:
- Dry Ice (1:16 packs)
- Exquisite Crystal (No odds listed)
