2023 Topps Archives Baseball Image Variations
Of the four types of 2023 Topps Archives Baseball variations, these are the most standard. Like a lot of products put out by Topps, Image Variations are pretty simple. They switch out one image (or in the case of the 1956-style cards here, two images) for something different.
A total of 13 players have Image Variations in this set. All are rookies.
Each of the three designs has its own set of pack odds, although all are the same:
- Hobby – 1:322 packs
- Hobby Collector – 1:160 packs
- Blaster – 1:337 packs

2023 Topps Archives Baseball 1956 White Back Variations
The largest section of 2023 Topps Archives Baseball variations is found in the first 100 cards. White Back Variations are available for 40 of the base cards using the 1956 design. As their name suggests, the difference is found on the card’s reverse. Fronts look exactly the same.

White Back cards also have Red Hot Foil (/50) and Foilfractor (1/1) parallels.

2023 Topps Archives Baseball 1965 Inverted Variations
1965 Inverted Variations look as though they’re stuck behind a mirror. Unlike the more usual reverse negatives that accidentally flip the image, it’s the design elements that are changed. So not only are the Topps logo and RC shield on the other side of the card, they’re backwards. These are easy to notice as a result, especially if you look at the team and player names.

Odds are:
- Hobby – 1:65 packs
- Collector – 1:31 packs
- Blaster – 1:64 packs
These also have Red Hot Foil (/50) and Foilfractor (1/1) parallels.
The CMP code endings on the back are the same as 1956 White Backs:

2023 Topps Archives Baseball First Year Foil Variations
1st Year Foil Variations are a throwback to the early part of the millennium before RC shields became a thing. In 2003, Topps was still landing draft picks and other prospects in many of their products. The 1st Year notation was a lot like today’s 1st Bowman, only you’d find it in Topps flagship base sets.
Regular base cards don’t have a foil stamp. The variations do. While they blend in, if you remember they’re possible, they’re not very stealth.

Red Hot Foil (/50) and one-of-one Foilfractors can also be found of these.
Odds are:
- Hobby – 1:61 packs
- Hobby Collector – 1:31 packs
- Blaster – 1:64 packs
