2023 Topps Throwback Thursday Baseball Checklist, Team Set Lists and More
2023 Topps Throwback Thursday Baseball takes things back to the past once again. Similar to the Heritage and Archives as well as lots of inserts spread throughout various products, the release finds its roots in old designs from the company. However, this one has a bit of a twist.
2023 Topps TBT Baseball is an online-exclusive release that rolls out slowly with three new cards each week. Every four weeks make up a new set before it changes designs and themes.
The checklist is a mix of current and past players. With the regular drops and print-on-demand structure, it allows Topps to work in players as they go on a tear or freshly debuted rookies. In the past there hasn’t really been a science to it, but hot players have made regular appearances.
Variations are back as well. Each week, one card has a short print version with a different photo that lands 1:20 packs.
Parallels numbered to 10 (Blue), 5 (Pink) and 1 (Gold) are also randomly inserted.
2023 Topps Throwback Thursday cards are available for seven days on the company’s website. Individual sets are $14.99 but there are discounts for bulk orders of five and 10 sets. For collectors wanting just specific cards, eBay is another option. There are typically a handful of sellers each week who will offer singles during the presale window for less than it would cost to buy a week’s set.
